Bring LEGO® Coding & Robotics to Your School
Where after school gets exciting.
A hands-on after-school program where students build, code and test their own LEGO® robots. Rocket Academy provides the kits, iPads and educators, and manages enrolments, payments and every session. Your school provides a suitable room, which we pay room hire for, and introduces the program to families.
It takes under a minute, with no cost or obligation. It simply starts a conversation.

What We Provide
What We Need From Your School
- A suitable learning space for 6 to 24 students, with tables, chairs and room to test robots
- Your approval to run the program on site
- A way to let families know. We'll provide a ready-to-use newsletter blurb
Funding
This is a parent-paid extracurricular program. Families pay for their own child's place, so your school does not fund it, and we manage enrolments and payments directly with parents. We also pay room hire for the space we use.
Safety and compliance
Who will be on our school site?
Rocket Academy educators only. Every educator holds a Working With Children Check, and together they have delivered more than 500 hours of programs.
Do you meet our requirements for external providers?
Yes. We're compliant with SAM4Schools, the compliance register many schools use for providers. Every educator holds a Working With Children Check, we hold $20 million public liability insurance, and first aid is covered on site.
Do you have a Child Protection Policy and insurance?
Yes. We have a Child Protection Policy and $20 million public liability insurance, and we provide both to your school. We also share Working With Children Check details for every educator attending, along with a summary of how we screen our staff.
Will your educators follow our site procedures?
Yes. Our educators complete your contractor induction and any portal requirements, and sign in at reception on arrival.
Running it at your school
How many students do we need?
Classes run with 6 to 24 students, with a minimum of 6 needed to run. Students work in pairs on each kit.
Can we run more than one class?
Yes. Schools can run Junior Engineers (Prep to Year 2) and Master Builders (Years 3 to 6) classes side by side, organised by year level.
How long is the program, and when does it run?
Each term is 8 weeks, with sessions of 60 to 90 minutes straight after school. You can share your preferred days when you express interest.
What does our school need to provide?
A suitable learning space with tables, chairs and room for students to test their robots, approval to run the program on site, and a way to let families know. We'll provide a ready-to-use newsletter blurb, and we pay room hire for the space.
What equipment do you bring?
All of it. We supply LEGO® Education SPIKE™ kits (Essential for Prep to Year 2, Prime for Years 3 to 6) and iPads, so your school doesn't need to purchase anything.
How much work is it for school staff?
Very little. We manage enrolments and payments and deliver every session, so the school's role is to approve the program and share our newsletter blurb.
The program
Does the program align with the curriculum?
Yes. Our LEGO® lesson plans are aligned to the Australian curriculum, so the program complements what students already learn in class.
What will students learn?
Students in Prep to Year 2 build coding fundamentals, sequencing and loops with SPIKE™ Essential. In Years 3 to 6, they progress to sensors, motors, conditions and debugging with SPIKE™ Prime, building a foundation for high-school robotics.
Do students need any experience?
No. Students start from the beginning, and the program builds from there.
Cost and getting started
Who pays for the program?
Families pay for their own child's place, and your school does not fund the program. We manage enrolments and payments directly with parents, and we pay room hire for the space we use.
How much do families pay?
Fees are per student, per term. We'll confirm the exact fee in your proposal.
Can we still express interest if we're outside the Hawthorn area?
Yes. We're starting with schools within about 30 minutes of our Hawthorn studio, and we read every Expression of Interest.
How soon could we start?
We can launch as early as Week 2 of Term 4.
What happens after we express interest?
A member of our team will call to talk through your students, space and timing, then send a clear proposal for your review.
Have another question? We'd be glad to help. Call 0488 779 418 or email hello@rocketacademy.com.au.
