⛏️ Minecraft Code Camp (Ages 8-12)

Class Overview: Over two immersive days, students will dive deep into the world of Minecraft, where they will learn creative engineering by building, inventing, and going on grand adventures together. They will design complex structures, create automated systems using Redstone logic, and plan exciting expeditions.

What to bring: Please pack a nut-free snack, lunch, and water bottle.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Redstone Automation and Hidden Secrets: Students will develop essential engineering skills by creating functional devices, learning how Redstone systems create moving parts and secret mechanisms to automate tasks within the game.

  • Creative Problem-Solving: Challenges require critical thinking, such as designing an efficient shop with storage, building a strong base, or creating clever Minecart rollercoasters that adhere to physical principles.

  • Structured Building and Design: From multi-room bases to secret entrances, students will apply planning and cooperative design skills to construct large, themed projects, ensuring structural integrity and efficiency.

  • Collaborative Adventures: They will strengthen teamwork and planning skills by going on shared expeditions to tackle large goals, like finding and defeating the Ender Dragon, and returning for a victory party!
